Welcome to the first ever blog post from your community of apartments in Spring Branch. We’ll be posting blog updates twice per month, and each post will be filled with insights about apartment living, the surrounding community, and life in Houston. We hope that by reading this post, you feel like you have the info you need to make the most of your community and take advantage of all the luxuries of living in the Memorial neighborhood of Houston.
We’re going to start things off by talking about the best coffee shops near The Slate! Whether you like to grab some java on your way to work or you need a place where you can work or study during the day, the shops on this list should suit your needs just fine.
Now that we’ve gotten the intro out of the way, let’s dive right into the list of coffee shops! When you’re done reading through this post, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments in 77079.
Tree House Craft Coffee and Frozen Yogurt
If you like to be a little daring with your coffee concoctions, try the 1885 at Tree House. This drink is a combination of cold brew and Dr. Pepper, and it’s exactly what you need to wake yourself up on a hot afternoon in Houston.
This place actually has three different kinds of cold brew, including Japanese cold brew, nitro cold brew, and the regular cold brew you’re used to. All of this is served in a cute little shop that manages to fit plenty of seats inside. It’s a good place to work if you get there early, and it’s a great place to pop into next time you’re in need of a cold, caffeinated drink!
Few cafes in Houston have food as beautiful as the dishes at Doux Cafe. They’ve got decadent waffle dishes that are covered in whipped cream and strawberries, plus desserts and pastries that are 100% worthy of being featured on your next Instagram.
Julie’s French Pastries and Coffee Shop
We know this is a blog about coffee, but we have to mention the beautiful crepes at Julie’s. This is the kind of place that you want to go to if you’ve got time to hang out and eat a quick treat while you enjoy your morning coffee. If you’re in the mood for a full on meal, Julie’s also has quiche and croissant sandwiches. Even if you just have coffee and nothing else, Julie’s is a quiet, comfortable space that’s perfect for sipping and relaxing.
